An explanation for the gigantic scale of prehistoric life
Book reviews....
It is interesting to imagine how the dinosaurs interacted with each other. In the painting below the carnivorous Ceratosaurus snarls at the larger plant eating Brachiosaurus frightening a small flock of flying reptiles called Rham-phorhynchus. This is a contest of giants. Although the Ceratosaurus is large, with a mass as great as one of today’s elephants, the Brachiosaurus is even larger at about 80 tonnes, twenty times more massive than a large elephant.
