EARTH'S RADIUS INCREASE
The most authoritative source for the current level of knowledge, from which comprehensive data regarding the Earth's current rate of expansion can be reliably obtained, is Professor S. Warren Carey's 2nd edition book (March 2000) of Earth, Universe, Cosmos (see pages 131-132).
The rate of increase of the radius of the Earth has been calculated at 2.08 ± 0.8 cm per year. This figure has been verified, over a lifetime's careful research, by Professor Carey and a number of his colleagues from several lines of reasoning;
This figure agrees with the increase in the Earth's diameter since the mid-Cretaceous,
The rate of new ocean floor between Australia/Antarctica, India/Antarctica is in the middle of the probability range,
The paleopole overshoot during the last 25 million years is accounted for by this value,
The data from NASA's VLBI (very long base interferometry), laser ranging to the Moon, and the LAGEOS can be used to show that the Earth is increasing at this rate.
